The light is activated by turning on the supply voltage and is available with an operating voltage of 230 V/15 W. The stable, all-plastic housing conforms to protection degree IP 66 and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The flameproof enclosure and the “increased safety” class of protection of the terminal room guarantee hazardous area protection. The upper part of the flameproof enclosure, which contains the long life lamp, consists of a transparent Makrolon cap. The housing is completely made of plastic. Thus the device is protected against corrosion, and fulfills the requirements of contact protection class II. No equipotential bonding necessary. All outer fastening parts have been made of non-corrosive materials.
